Viet Nam: Addresses for post-placement reports Unfortunately, IMH can no longer collect and distribute the annual post-placement reports which adoptive families agreed to when they adopted their children. This is a requirement of the Vietnamese Government, not IMH, and the Government still expects them even without the presence of IMH in Viet Nam. The place you should send your annual reports depends on the province your child was adopted from. Please check your child's paperwork to determine the province your child was adopted from. Hanoi and all northern provinces (Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Lang Son, Thanh Hoa, etc.) Bac Si: Ha Thi Kim Quy Children who were not adopted from Cau Giay but from Northern Provinces (Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, etc.) can also be sent here and the orphanage director and/or senior staff will get them to the correct place. Correspondence with bio parents should also be sent here if the families are not corresponding directly. Adoptive parents should be aware that even small gifts (picture frames, etc.) can be subject to Vietnamese customs tax, resulting in possibly significant delays and the orphanage needing to pay to receive it!
